Ryan Reynolds Highlights the Kindness and Talent of “Spirited” Cast

Ryan Reynolds has wrapped up filming on his latest project, Spirited, and boy does he have some great things to say about the people he’s been working with over the last few months.

The Hollywood star, who plays Ebeneezer Scrooge in the reimagined  “A Christmas Carol” musical,  shared the sweetest message on Instagram this week, specifically praising fellow cast members Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer.

“That’s a wrap for me on Spirited,” he captions a series of photos from set:

“Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago. Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great Octavia Spencer,” he continues.

“I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”

You see? The sweetest!

In between sharing his gratitude, Ryan also mentions taking a “sabbatical” from film making but didn’t go into any details about what that means exactly or how long it might last.

But hey, he’s certainly earned it.

This year alone, Ryan’s been part of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and Free Guy. Plus he’s due to release Red Notice in November and Spirited which doesn’t have a release date just yet, but will likely come out around Christmas.

Add to that his various other business ventures with Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and Maximum Effort, his TikTok stardom, his continuous and hilarious online banter with frenemy Hugh Jackman (those messages must take a while to think of!), his philanthropic efforts with Blake Lively and parenthood…and well, yeah, a sabbatical sounds just about right!
