Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been announced as the host of the upcoming Global Citizen “Unite for Our Future” concert.

The special which will be streamed on YouTube and other online platforms on June 27 will feature performances by Shakira, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson and many more.

It’s all about highlighting how the coronavirus pandemic is disproportionately affecting marginalised communities including those living in poverty and people of colour – and ensuring everyone has equal access to COVID-19 health care.

We’ll also be treated to special appearances from Charliz Theron, Salma Hayek, Hugh Jackman, Chris Rock and David Beckham.

It’s a follow-up of Global Citizen’s “One World: Together At Home” concert which was curated by Lady Gaga and raised over US $127 million for coronavirus relief efforts.
