Sacha Baron Cohen has delivered a powerful speech on stopping hate and bigotry while being honoured at an Anti-Defamation League Summit on Anti-Semitism and Hate, and quite frankly it may just be his best work yet.
The comedian – who appeared as himself (not Borat or Bruno!) – spoke about how the social media and internet giants like Facebook and YouTube play a huge role in facilitating the current rise of anti-semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia and racism.
Describing Facebook as the “biggest propaganda machine in history” Cohen argues that if the site had been around in the 30’s, it would’ve run ads for Hitler.
