I don’t know about you, but Addison Rae Easterling is like a ray of sunshine on my social media feed.

She is so upbeat and positive and wholesome. It’s easy to see how the 19-year-old from Louisiana has amassed a following of 35 million – and that’s just on TikTok.

But like all the upbeat, positive and wholesome people before her (looking at you Taylor Swift), there seems to be an army of people out there trying to tear Addison and her fellow TikTokers, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio down.

This week, the young dancer decided she’d had enough of the hate.

In a series of honest tweets, Addison Rae is reminding the internet that body-shaming is never okay and we’re totally cheering her on.

“I’ve seen 5-10 tweets and tiktoks today talking negatively about my body and weight,” she begins.

“It makes me feel insecure,” Addison continues, “but luckily I’m looking at it in a different light. I’ve been very motivated to start eating better and working out everyday to become the healthiest version of myself!”

HAPPY EARTH DAY! Treat the earth (and people) with kindness🌱🌳🌼🌎✨

A post shared by ADDISON RAE (@addisoneasterling) on

Addison explains how hurtful it is when she sees people calling her “a whale” or saying “she’s fat now.”

“I just want to encourage everyone who hears these things about themselves to love yourself!!'”

She urges her followers to “NOT listen to these hurtful comments.”

Since posting those messages, Addison is continuing to use her platform to encourage kindness towards each other:

We couldn’t agree more Addison!

Hey, thanks for reaching out. There are many sites like Wix and Squarespace where you can build your own blog for free (or very little!). We started out on Weebly using a free service and as the blog grew, we asked a website business to help improve the page. Hope that helps!
