U2 Donate €10 Million to Help Buy Protective Gear for Hospital Workers

Irish superstars U2 are the latest celebrities to step up to support frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Bono and his band mates, Adam Clayton, the Edge and Larry Mullen Jr have donated €10 million to help buy masks, gloves and other protective personal equipment for health workers across Ireland.

That’s about US $10.9 million and AU$17.22 million!

A spokesperson for the band confirmed the donation to PA media agency.

Recently, Bono shared his new track “Let Your Love Be Known” on the band’s Insta page, paying tribute to everyone impacted by the coronavirus crisis:
