Emmy-Winning Actor Billy Miller Has Passed Away

Billy Miller, the Emmy award-winning actor best known for portraying Billy Abbott on The Young and The Restless, has passed away, aged 43.

His manager confirmed the sad news in a statement to Variety, revealing the young star died on Friday, September 15 in Austin, Texas and had been experiencing “manic depression”.

Billy won three Daytime Emmys for his role on The Young and The Restless – two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

He also starred in All My Children and General Hospital, and appeared in a number of TV series including Suits, NCIS, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Urban Cowboy and more.

The news of his death comes on his 44th birthday.

Fellow soap star Eileen Davidson is among many of Billy’s friends and co-stars sharing words of love for the actor. On X she writes: 

“I’m so sad to hear of Billy Miller’s passing. His infectious charm and warmth left lasting impressions on all of us who were lucky enough to have him in our lives. I’m gonna miss that mischievous smile. Love you Billy.”

Actor Adrienne Frantz also shared a message on X:

“Billy Miller, you lit up every room you walked into with your light & your charm & gave the best hugs ever! I’ll always remeber the laughs & the great times we had together! Hope you’ve found peace my dear friend. I’ll love you forever.”
