Anne Heche has passed away after being involved in a horrific car crash in Los Angeles.
Reps for the Emmy-winning actress and mother-of-two have confirmed the sad news to People, after explaining earlier she’d suffered “a severe anoxic brain injury” and was being kept on life support to determine if any of her organs were viable for donation.
“Today we lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend,” her reps shared with the publication.
“Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.”
Earlier, the Los Angeles Fire Department shared information about the accident on Twitter, explaining that on the morning of August 5, a car struck a house and burst into flames. It took almost 60 firefighters more than an hour to put out the blaze and rescue Anne, who was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
