It’s Mother’s Day and stars are flooding social media with love for their mamas!

“Happy Muva’s Day,” she captioned the pic.
“I love you so much Mama and I’m so grateful for all you do for me.”

Marvel star Chris Hemsworth celebrated the important mothers in his life – sharing a pic of wife, actor and model Elsa Pataky, with his mama Leonie Hemsworth and a third person standing between them. In true, larrikin Chris-style, he superimposed his head over the third person too!
“Happy Mother’s Day to the two best mums I know! Thank you for all the love, support, passion and wonderful times but above all I wanna thank them for the epic knowledge and skills I’ve learnt from them in photo shopping stuff. To the untrained eye you probably can’t even notice but I wasn’t originally in this pic.”

Actor Billie Lourd took to social media to honour her late mother, Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher:
“Even though I’ve been a mom for almost 3 years and now have 2 kids of my own, the first thing I think of when I hear happy Mother’s Day is her. Even though it’s been over 6 years since she died, when I first wake up, this still feels like her day – not mine. But as the day goes on, I remember it is my day too now.”
She continued, “I am a mother to two magical little creatures and there is nothing that brings me more joy than being their mother. And even though she’s not here, it’s still her day. It’s our day now. And that is both sad and weirdly beautiful at the same time. With the magic of life comes the reality of grief. It is all intertwined. Mother’s Day can be many things.”

Iranian American actress and activist Nazanian Boniadi shared a message on Twitter about her mother’s strength and courage:
She was 19 during the Islamic Revolution. She attended every anti-Khomeini rally in Tehran, including the one on February 9, 1979, at Amjadiyeh Stadium, while she was 6 months pregnant with me. She is a fierce lioness who has instilled in me the courage of my convictions. Happy #MothersDay to my fearless & compassionate role model. My heart goes out to every mother who has lost their child or been separated from them because of the brutalities & injustices of the regime she and so many others bravely opposed. #WomanLifeFreedom.”
Glass Onion: Knives Out star Kate Hudson shared words of love for her joyous and famous mama, Goldie Hawn, posting a throwback from her childhood:
“Remember when we only had a couple tries to get a good pic? I really love those days. A perfect pic was so hard to achieve that a roll of 24 shots was a great reminder that life is profoundly imperfect. If you were lucky you’d get one with everyone looking. My Mama didn’t wait around to get the perfect pic. In fact she has few pics of all of us together because she let us run around and be in the moment. The ones she does are always a little silly, a little blurry, half smiles, half cries, chocolate faces and unbrushed hair. She gave us freedom, let us be wild, loved us endlessly and we got the pictures to prove it. I love you Mama. Happy Mothers Day!”
