Cody Walker Names Newborn Son After Late Brother, Paul

Actor and philanthropist Cody Walker is honouring his late brother in the most beautiful way.

Cody has revealed to People that his newborn son Paul Barrett (“Bear”) is named after his big bro Paul Walker, who famously starred as Brian O’Conner in a number of Fast and Furious movies and founded the nonprofit Reach Out Worldwide.

“This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time,” Cody tells the publication, adding that the name Paul has been running in their family for four generations and he wanted to keep it going.

Cody and his wife Felicia are also parents to 5-year-old daughter Remi and 2-year-old-son Colt.

Felicia recently shared a sweet photo of their newest addition to the family on Instagram, with big brother Colt holding him.

Paul and Cody’s other brother, actor and producer Caleb Walker, is also a dad and has carried on Paul’s name through his son, Maverick Paul Walker.

Paul sadly passed away in a car crash in November 2013, aged 40. According to the coroner’s report released at the time, he was a passenger returning home from a charity event for his nonprofit Reach Out Worldwide with his friend and financial adviser Roger Rodas when the car crashed at a speed of over 100 mph and burst into flames.

His daughter, Meadow Walker Thornton-Allan has also continued his legacy in the new Fast X film out now in cinemas.

“The first Fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin (Diesel), Jordana (Brewster), Michelle (Rodriguez), Chris (Ludacris) and more on the monitors,” Meadow recently posted on her Instagram.

“Thanks to my dad, I was born into the Fast family. I can’t believe now I get to be up there too. With those who have been around to see me grow up.”
