Alex Trebek, the beloved, long-time host of Jeopardy! has died from pancreatic cancer, aged 80.
The sad news was announced on the game show’s Twitter page earlier today:
“Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends. Thank you, Alex.”
Trebek who revealed his diagnosis with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last year, managed to work on the show until the end of October, 2020 – just over a week before his death.
