Actor, filmmaker and comedian Jamie Costa has shared a video of himself impersonating Robin Williams – and he does it so perfectly, fans of the late actor are now calling for a biopic with Jamie as the lead.
The YouTube video which has been shared tens of thousands of times on social media since being posted less than 24 hours ago, is called “ROBIN Test Footage Scene.” In it, we see Jamie as Robin on the set of “Mork and Mindy” when he learns of the death of actor and friend John Belushi.
“No, I told you, I was with him. John’s not dead, I was with him last night,” Jamie says in a voice that’s so much like Robin’s, you’ll have to do a double take.
Add to that, the fact that Jamie actually looks a lot like a young Robin Williams too and has his mannerisms down to a tee – and yep, mind blown. (Just a heads up, you’re going to need some tissues for this.)
The video, which gives a heartbreaking glimpse of what a full-length movie about Robin’s life might actually be like, has attracted thousands of comments from viewers urging someone in Hollywood to make a biopic given the perfect lead is right before our eyes.
This isn’t the first time Jamie has shared a Robin impersonation either.
He put out a video in August 2014 when the actor passed away, titled “Never Had A Friend Like Him” where he impersonates some of Robin’s most well-known characters including Genie from “Aladdin” and Alan from “Jumanji.” He is certainly one talented guy.
