Julia and Danny met on the set of their 2001 film The Mexican where Julia starred opposite Brad Pitt and Danny worked as a cameraman. They tied the knot the following year in a private ceremony on July 4.
They have 18-year-old twins, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter as well as 16-year-old son Henry Daniel.
Last year, Julia very sweetly shared love for her family at the world premiere of Ticket to Paradise with George Clooney. She wore a stunning black and white Alexander McQueen gown featuring the words “love” and “hope”, as well as a bunch of initials and dates, each with special meaning:
“JR + DM” are Julia and Danny’s initials, “2002”, the year they were married. “H+P, H”, the initials of their three children. And the dates “2004” and “2007” refers to the years the kids were born. (You can see a pic of her dress HERE.)
In an interview with The New York Times prior to the premiere, Julia had mentioned how much she’d missed her family while filming in Australia for months: “We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family.”
And it seems it was the Clooneys who saved her from “complete loneliness and despair” by keeping her company.
