Kate Bosworth is marking her 40th trip around the sun and she’s surrounded by a whole lotta love from boyfriend and fellow actor Justin Long.

“She is 40! She is also the best part of my day, everyday – even when we’re not together,” he begins his post on Instagram.
Are you melting yet? It gets better!
“She laughs with abandon. She makes me laugh the same – all the time. She sees beauty everywhere and in everyone. She thanks everyone – even when she’s suffering, she’s kind.”

Justin goes on to describe Kate’s playful side too: “She is deeply compassionate and can’t hurt anyone but she can be a rascal. She loves to tease…. she loves beer and football more than I do (and I love beer and football).”
Before wishing his “best friend” a happy birthday, Justin shares just how much of an impact Kate has made on him:
“She makes everything in my life better – all my favourite songs and movies, vacations and sunsets and Chinese food. She strives to be better but she’s the best person I know. She is truly good. She will stand up to anyone who isn’t. She has true integrity and grit. She has, by far, my favourite smile.”
Kate shared an equally heartfelt message on her own Instagram page, thanking Justin for making her birthday – and life – so special:
While the two were often seen together early in 2021 and Justin even mentioned having someone special in his life during various interviews, he never actually named Kate until May last year. During an interview with Chelsea Handler on Dear Chelsea, he finally revealed that the love of his life is in fact Kate Bosworth.
“There’s something about it, for me, that I feel like I need to protect and keep sacred because it feels sacred,” he shared at the time.
“I’ve never had anything like this before. I’ve never experienced this. So it’s something I want to protect and keep, you know?”
