Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their first child together – Daisy Dove Bloom!
The pair who are both UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors shared their beautiful news through the organisation’s social media pages:
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” Katy and Orlando begin.
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was,” their statement reads, along with a photo of baby Daisy’s hand:

The couple is taking the opportunity to highlight the fact that a pregnant woman or newborn dies “every eleven seconds” due to a shortage of healthcare workers and a lack of access to basics like “water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases.”
“As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”
Katy and Orlando have set up a donation page in Daisy’s honour so fans can help support “a healthier world for every child.”
