Nick Cannon Shares Words of Love For 5-Month-Old Son, Zen, Who Has Passed Away From Brain Cancer

Zen, the 5-month-old son of TV host Nick Cannon and model Alyssa Scott has passed away from brain cancer.

Sharing the devastating news on “The Nick Cannon Show,” Nick describes Zen as the “most loving” little boy.

“We called him Z Chilling. He was always smiling. Always having the most beautiful spirit.”

Nick explained that Zen always had a cough and took him to the doctor to check out his sinus and breathing: “We thought it would be routine,” he said, but instead, the doctors found Zen had a condition called hydrocephalus, a malignant brain tumour.

He adds that things took a turn for the worst over Thanksgiving and the cancer began to spread.

“So, this weekend I made a valiant effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen,” he continued, tearfully.

“Zen’s mom, Alyssa, was just the strongest woman I’ve ever seen. Never had an argument, never was angry. Was emotional when she needed to be but always the best mom, and continues to be the best mom,” Nick says before dedicating the show to their late baby.

“You never know what someone is going through. hug your family. Kiss somebody. Tell them you love them,” he ended his message.

While Alyssa hasn’t made a statement, she did post a photo of baby Zen smiling in his sleep on her Instagram stories as well as a series of playful videos of him.

Zen was Nick’s seventh child. He shares 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, 4-year-old son Golden and 11-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell and five-month-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa.
