Some of the most talented women in entertainment and the arts gathered last night to celebrate a tradition close to their hearts – Diwali, the festival of lights.
Hosted by Mindy Kaling, the colourful event which was technically a “pre-Diwali” party held by beauty entrepreneur Deepica Mutyala, fellow entrepreneur and author Meena Harris and a collab of their brands “Live Tinted x Phenomenal”, was also a beautiful celebration of women supporting women. (Yeah, you know how the tabloids try to convince us we all hate each other? Surprise! Women are cheering each other on and lifting each other up everywhere you look.)
“We hosted some amazing women from our community and got to share stories and celebrate each other (with delicious food and major fashion moments),” Mindy posted on Instagram.

“This couldn’t have happened when I first moved to LA over a decade ago, but now we are HERE.”
Among the fabulous and talented people attending the event were Never Have I Ever stars Richa Moorjani and Poorna Jagannathan, talk show host Lilly Singh, actress/producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas and fellow actress and dancer Liza Koshy.
