Buckingham Palace has confirmed some wonderful news – Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have welcomed a baby girl!
In a statement posted on social media, the Palace says:
“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.”
While no name has been revealed yet the statement does say that both mum and child are doing well and that the couple is “looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf,” who is Edoardo’s son from a previous relationship.

Princess Beatrice, who is the grand-daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, also took to social media to thank her “midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care.”
New aunt, Princess Eugenie, also shared a message on social media congratulating her big sis and brother-in-law:
“To my dearest Beabea and Edo. Congratulations on your new angel. I can’t wait to meet her and I’m so proud of you. We’re going to have so much fun watching our children grow up,” she begins before sharing a special message for her niece too:
