If you’ve ever heard Reese Witherspoon talk about her mama, Betty, or read the loving words she shares about her in Whiskey in a Teacup, you’ll already know just how close these two beautiful humans are.
And this week, Reese decided to celebrate this very special woman in her life who is making her 73rd trip around the sun, with the sweetest message on social media.
“Today I am celebrating! It’s Betty’s birthday.. my wonderful mama,” the actress, producer and entrepreneur shared along with a gallery of photos of the two of them together.

“I feel so lucky to have her Joy, Happiness and Wisdom in my life. She always told me to dream BIG, laugh EVERYDAY, be Creative whenever you can, enjoy every flower you see and be of service to OTHERS in this life,” Reese’s message continues.
“She has wiped my tears and cheered every success.”

Are you in a puddle of tears yet? We are.
But wait, the message doesn’t end there.
Reese ends by explaining there really are not enough words sometimes to tell the people we love just how much they mean to us.
“Even though I will never be able to tell her how much I love her, I try my best everyday. I love you, Mom!”
And just like that, she showed us exactly how much Betty means to her.
