Singer & Actor Aaron Carter Has Passed Away

Aaron Carter, who released his first album when he was just 9 and went on to release worldwide hits like “I Want Candy” and “Crush On You”, has passed away, aged 34.

His rep confirmed the sad news to E!: “It is with deepest regret to report Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA.”

No further details have been shared by Aaron’s team yet.

His career took off after opening up for his big brother Nick Carter’s band, the Backstreet Boys, in the 90s. Besides his singing career, he also dabbled in television, appearing in Nickelodeon programs, E!‘s reality series “House of Carters” and competed in Season 9 of “Dancing with the Stars.” In 2018, he released his final music album, “Love.”

For years, Aaron had been plagued by personal issues, battled substance abuse and spent some time in a treatment facility.

He is survived by his 11-month-old son, Prince.
