A fun new trailer for Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell has been released!
The clip opens with their characters Bea and Ben exchanging some attitude-filled banter, before we learn more about their past history, how they find themselves at a destination wedding in Australia and why they decide to fake a relationship.
Somewhere in between it all we not only see them recreating an iconic scene from Titanic, but also get caught up in a hilarious spider incident that ends with Ben stripping completely naked.
What is Anyone But You about?
“When college arch-nemeses reunite years after graduation for a destination wedding, they pretend to be a couple for their own personal reasons,” the official synopsis from Sony Pictures reads. “But through pretending, they actually fall in love.”
Yes, it’s a return to the classic rom-com people!
Speaking at CinemaCon 2023 about their project, Glen (who previously starred in Top Gun: Maverick) said “this movie’s about two people that hate each other. Sydney plays a character, a real nightmare.”
Sydney (of Euphoria fame) added that Glen’s character Ben is “a real a**hole!”
“And what better place to put a nightmare and an a**hole than on the other side of the world in the most romantic setting imaginable?”
