The sequel also stars Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as biologist Dr. Stephen Shin.

According to the official movie synopsis, “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

Warner Bros. is promising a full-length trailer will drop this Thursday.

The film will be released in cinemas across Australia on December 26, and a little earlier in the US on December 20, 2023.

Jason Momoa who was born in Hawaii, has been busy using his social media platforms to highlight the ongoing needs of the people of Maui after devastating wildfires hit the island last month. He recently collaborated with community elders, leaders and residents to help Oprah Winfrey and Dwayne Johnson set up the People’s Fund of Maui. As a result of the collaboration, homeowners and renters who lost their primary place of residence in the fires can apply to the fund to receive $1,200 per month in support.
