‘It Ends With Us’: New Release Date, Plus Cast Details & More!

It Ends With Us, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel starring Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni and Brandon Sklenar, has set a new release date!

The movie will now be heading to cinemas on June 21 after initially slated for a February release. Wayfarer Studios shared the news on social media, saying “we’re back in production” after filming was stalled due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Who is cast in It Ends With Us?

Blake will portray lead Lily Bloom opposite Justin as her love interest Ryle Kincaid, while Brandon is set to play Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s school friend and first love.

Jenny Slate has also been confirmed as a cast member. She’ll play Ryle’s sister Allysa.

Author Colleen said in a post on Instagram that she’s excited to see her impactful words turned into a movie by such a stellar cast: “Cannot wait for this. Loving the cast so far. Feels like a dream.”

What is It Ends With Us about?

The book, which explores themes of domestic violence, masculinity, jealousy, heartache and more, has been a huge online sensation. In January 2022, it debuted at #1 on the New York Times’ Best Sellers list and has been a consistent point of discussion on “booktok”, aka book-lovers on TikTok.

It follows the present day story of Lily, a young entrepreneur who grew up in an abusive home and falls for a neurosurgeon named Ryle, as well as the past story of Lily’s relationship with a homeless friend named Atlas. When Atlas reappears in her life years later, Lily finds herself navigating her relationships.
