Taylor Swift Announces ‘Eras Tour’ Concert Film!

Shut the front door! Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is officially headed to the big screen!

The superstar has announced an official film of her sold-out concerts will be released in cinemas on October 13. But it will only be available in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. No word yet on whether this will go global (but here’s hoping fellow Swifties!).

In a post on Instagram announcing the big news, Taylor writes,”The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.”

She adds, “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged. 1, 2, 3, LGB!!!! (iykyk).”

LGB indeed!

In true Taylor-style, the tickets are $19.89 (plus tax) for adults – a reference to her album, 1989. And for kids and seniors, it’ll cost $13.13 (plus tax) – because 13 is her favourite number, of course! (In an interview she once said, “I was born on the 13th, I turned 13 on Friday the 13th, my first album went gold in 13 weeks. Also, my first song that ever went No. 1, it had a 13 second intro.” She often features the number 13 in her music clips too!)

How long does Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film go for?

With a 44-song setlist featuring her chart-topping hits and her concerts lasting 3 hours, this is going to be quite the experience! According to ACM Theatres, the running time for the film is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
