Looks like Timothée Chalamet got the golden ticket!
In some awesome casting news, it’s been revealed the Hollywood star will play a young Willy Wonka in an upcoming prequel to the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory films.
According to Deadline.com who first confirmed the news, this Warner Brothers production will be called Wonka, focusing on the chocolatier’s life before he opens his famous factory.
It’ll be directed by Paul King who’s known for his work on Paddington (2014).
Oh and yes, it’s a musical which means we’ll be seeing Timothée doing some glorious singing and dancing! (Can’t you just see it already?)
Previous adaptions of the original Roald Dahl story have featured actors Johnny Depp and Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.
