The first trailer for Deadpool 3 has finally dropped and it looks like we’re in for quite the ride!
The highly anticipated ‘threequel’ sees Ryan Reynolds reprise his iconic role as Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool with Hugh Jackman returning to the screen as Wolverine and Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA (Time Variance Authority) agent. And although we don’t get much of an insight into the plot just yet, we do know it’s Wade’s birthday, and that he’s offered a chance to be a “hero among heroes”.
“Your little cinematic universe is about to change forever,” Wade says. “I’m the Messiah. I am Marvel Jesus!”
Oh, and we also know it’s still the R-rated Deadpool we know and love: “Pegging isn’t new for me friend-o. But it is for Disney.”

In addition to releasing the trailer, Marvel has also confirmed the title of the new film: Deadpool & Wolverine, along with the slogan, “Best Friends Forever.”
Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as Vanessa and Karan Soni as Dopinder. In February last year, it was announced The Crown’s Emma Corrin would be joining Deadpool in a villainous role. “Beyond honoured to join this bonkers family!” Emma posted at the time.
During filming, some stills of the movie were leaked online but Ryan took to social media asking for those images not to be shared any further because “surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies.”
He explained, “the film is built for audience joy – and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen.”
While Deadpool 3 has had several release dates allocated and then changed due to last year’s strikes, the new release date is now set for July 25.
