Taylor Swift has announced what her next re-recorded album will be – 1989 (Taylor’s Version)!
The superstar has revealed the album, which features hits like “Shake It Off” and “Bad Blood” will be out on October 27, exactly nine years after the original came out. She made the announcement during the last show of the U.S. leg of her Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, before confirming the news on social media too.
In footage shared by concert goers online, Taylor – dressed in blue, which just so happens to represent the colour of the album – unveiled the cover of her latest re-record:

“Now here we are, on the last night of the U.S. Eras Tour, in the eight month of the year, on the ninth day of the month. You might have noticed there were some new outfits on the show… There’s something I’ve been doing for a really, really ridiculously, embarrassingly long time. I think instead of telling you about it, (I’ll) just sort of show you!”
On X (formerly Twitter), she writes, “Surprise!! !989 (Taylor’s Version) is on the way to you soon! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVOURITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”
We’re still waiting on the full track list and details about the vault songs, but it’s safe to say, this is going to be epic!
Taylor has already re-recorded Fearless, Red and Speak Now.
