Beyoncé fans – the time has finally come!
The superstar has released Renaissance, her seventh studio album and her first solo album since 2016’s Lemonade.
The LP, the first of three, features 16 tracks in total including the previously released single “Break My Soul.”
“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,” the singer shared on her website ahead of the album’s release.
“A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.”
She goes on to thank a number of people who helped her on her musical journey including Jay-Z, her parents, her Uncle Jonny who introduced her to music which inspired the album and her children:
“I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity and inspiration.”
In a separate Instagram post, Beyoncé thanked her fans for waiting until the album’s “proper release” after it was leaked online.
