The wait is finally over!
Britney Spears and Sir Elton John’s new single, ‘Hold Me Closer’ has been released on Spotify. The euphoric dance track features an upbeat version of his 1971 hit ‘Tiny Dancer’ and mashes it up with his other famous singles including ‘The One’ and ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’.
Teasing the track ahead of its release, Britney shared her joy in working with Sir Elton: “It’s pretty damn cool that I’m singing with one of the most classic men of our time @eltonofficial. It’s a big deal to me!!”

In a follow-up tweet she adds, “I’m learning every day is a clean slate to try and be a better person and do what makes me happy…yes I choose happiness today.”
It marks six years since Britney’s last song release and her first since being freed of a conservatorship that ruled her life for 13 years.
Britney’s husband Sam Asghari shared a snippet of the song on his Instagram after its release, captioning his post “Proud husband moment! I will be listening to this all night!”
So will we, Sam. So will we.
