LISTEN NOW: Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is Here!

The Swifties are not wrong. You’re going to need tissues for this one! Yes, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department is here and it is a journey of heartbreak, loss and rising above it all.

The album, her 11th, features 16 songs including collaborations with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine. But it’s not just any album, it’s a double album!

You see, just two hours after dropping TTPD, the superstar announced she had 15 more songs for us to explore and devour, so she dropped The Anthology too, giving us a total of 31 incredible pieces of, well, poetry.

Describing it all in a post to fans on social media, Taylor explains her music is a reflection of  “events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting & fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure. This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed & boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it.”

In a separate post announcing the additional songs, Taylor writes, “It’s a 2am surprise. The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second instalment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.”

So how can you listen to it right now?

Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department along with The Anthology are both available to stream through Apple Music. Or you can check it out for free through Spotify and YouTube.
