First Joint Portrait of The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge Unveiled

The first official joint portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been unveiled!

By award-winning artist Jamie Coreth, the artwork hangs at the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum and features Duchess Catherine in an elegant emerald dress by The Vampire’s Wife and Manolo Blahnik heels (an outfit she wore during a visit to Dublin in 2020) standing next to Prince William in a suit.

Coreth says “it’s been the most extraordinary honour of my life to paint this picture.”

The painting was commissioned in 2021 by the Cambridgeshire Royal Portrait Fund as a gift to the people of Cambridgeshire.

According to a statement shared on social media by Kensington Palace, the painting is aimed at  “encouraging children and young people of all backgrounds from across the county to take an interest in art in all its forms. The Fitzwilliam Museum has an international reputation for the quality of its learning and inclusion programmes, working with Early Years providers, local schools and community outreach programmes to maximise impact and enrich the lives of young people and their families.”
