Betty Booze: You Can Now Enjoy the Cocktails Blake Lively Makes For Her Friends!

You can now enjoy the same cocktails Blake Lively makes for her family and friends – yep, you’re basically Gigi Hadid or Taylor Swift!

The actor, philanthropist and style icon, who doesn’t drink herself but loves to mix them up for others, has announced the launch of Betty Booze, an expansion of her non-alcoholic drinks line, Betty Buzz.

“These are the recipes I’ve been making for loved ones for years,” she says in a release. “But I have 4 kids now. And I’m tired. So here they are in a can. Enjoy. Responsibly..ish.”

The new line is infused with fresh fruits, herbs and spices and consists of three flavours – Sparkling Bourbon with Apple Ginger Sour Cherry, Sparkling Tequila with Oak Smoked Lemonade and Sparkling Tequila with Lime Shiso.

“This is my most requested drink,” she says of the Sparkling Bourbon drink on Instagram. “Yeah, I’m risky business… or I mean Cocktail. Whatever. I’m a secret bartender.”

Unlike other canned cocktails which can be packed with artificial junk, Betty Booze focuses on Blake’s belief that “what we drink should be held to the same standard as the foods we eat.”

So the line doesn’t contain any artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners – just sparkling water, premium alcohol and real juice.

“Drinking isn’t my thing. But for f* sake, flavour is. Homemade recipes. Real fruit. Real ingredients. Quality booze. No crap. Also a real time saver. Which is why I really did it,” she adds.

Blake first entered the beverage business in 2021 when she launched Betty Buzz:

“Over the past many years of mixing but not drinking cocktails, it became clear mixers are the unsung heroes of the drink world and deserve just as much love as alcohol,” she explained at the time.

Betty Booze is clearly the next logical step in growing the business, but it’s also a sweet testament to who Blake is – a presumably very considerate host who makes sure her guests’ alcoholic desires are catered to!

And as for the brand name “Betty”… there’s a sweet story behind that too.

“My dad’s name was Ernest Brown Jr. but he was known as Ernie Lively,” she previously said of her father, who passed away in June, 2021.

“He gave up his last name when he married my mom and any success he, or I, have experienced has been in a name that isn’t his. So when I was working hard to build this company, I wanted any success to be in a name that was meaningful to him. Betty was his mom and his sister’s name,” Blake explained, jokingly adding, “Also, Ernie would not be the best name for a mixer.”
