Actress, entrepreneur and mum of two, Kristen Bell has launched a line of skin care products and she had us – and every mum in the world – at “it’s almost as good as being in the bathroom alone for once.”
The range, which includes body butters and bath bombs, is called “Happy Dance” and it’s a collab with Lord Jones who make hemp-derived CBD (or cannabidiol) products.
“What does Happy Dance feel like?” Kristen asks in a hilarious promo for her range.
“It feels like having the strength to watch the same kids movie 17 more times this week,” she says in a dreamy voice, as a snowflake from her Frozen movies pop up in the background.
“It melts away all memories of crossing the playroom bare foot,” she continues as colourful lego gently pours down around her. You’ve got to watch the full ad. It’s good:
“No, CBD will not get you high. But it will make you feel like you’re turning the volume down on the chaos in your life jusssst a little bit,” it reads on their website.
And I mean, just look at this heavenly shot. Who doesn’t want some of that?
But much like her “This Saves Lives” snack food company which donates meals to children in need and her “Hello Bello” baby company which has been sending a year’s worth of goodies to families in need, “Happy Dance” skin care also has a purpose.
For every item sold, a portion of profits is donated to A New Way of Life Re-Entry Project. The organisation provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services and leadership development programs for women who are rebuilding their lives after prison.
The good news is, the products, which retail between US$15 and $30, can be purchased online. And if you’re a true Kristen Bell fan, you’ll know how much she loves supporting teachers, military members and medical staff so if you fall into one of those categories, you get a 10% discount.
The bad news is, shipping is limited to the U.S only at this stage which means us Aussies will have to hold off that happy dance for a little while yet.
