Is Bobby Berk really leaving Queer Eye?
Yes, unfortunately, it’s true! (Who else needs a group hug right now?)
The beloved interior design expert and member of the ‘Fab 5’ has announced on social media that he’s made the decision to move on after Season 8.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on ‘Queer Eye’. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with ‘Queer Eye’ is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.”

Bobby, who has been a part of the reboot since its first season aired in 2018 alongside Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness and Karamo Brown, shared his immense gratitude for the Queer Eye community which he describes as “family”:
“The love that I have received from you all over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal. You have tuned in and been dedicated fans and together we were able to share the healing powers of design. I learned from you all about kindness, love and acceptance and that has changed my life for the better.”
He adds that it’s because of his fans that he’s kept going all these years: “each and every one of you have changed me for the better. I’m so very proud of all of you! Being able to help guide you to find the best version of yourselves is something I never took for granted and never will.”
Bobby’s Queer Eye co-stars have reacted to news of his departure with nothing but love. In the comments of his post, Karamo writes, “@Bobby we are #ForeverFab5 no matter what.”
Season 8 will premiere on Netflix on 24 January, 2024. A 9th season has also been green-lit and will take place in Las Vegas.
