‘Cobra Kai’ Season 6 Sets Three Release Dates

Cobra Kai season 6 is set to return to our screens with Netflix announcing three release dates! Here’s everything we know so far:

The final season of the Karate Kid spinoff starring Xolo Maridueña and Tanner Buchanan will consist of 15 episodes. The first part will premiere on July 18, the second part will air on November 28 and the third part will be released sometime in 2025.

The streaming giant also shared a teaser trailer for the new season:

Sadly, yes, this will mark the end of the popular series which started out as a YouTube original. In an open letter to fans earlier this year, the creative team behind Cobra Kai including Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, promised that season 6 would be the “biggest season of Cobra Kai yet” but also, that it wouldn’t necessarily be the end of the Karate Kid world:

“While this may be a bittersweet day for the fandom, the Miyagiverse has never been stronger. This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line. Because as we all know, Cobra Kai Never Dies.”

So what will season 6 be about exactly?

Going by the trailer, the new season will pick up a little after the events of season 5 where Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) put their rivalries behind them to take on Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). This time their dojos, along with Cobra Kai lead by John Kreese (Martin Kove) and Kim Dae-uen (Alicia Hannah-Kim), are headed to compete in Japan’s Sekai Taikai.

Per the official synopsis, “our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai – the world championships of Karate.”

The series also stars Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio and more.
