Here’s Your First Look at Cate Blanchett in Thriller Series, ‘Disclaimer’

Apple TV+ has unveiled a first look at ‘Disclaimer’ starring Cate Blanchett. 

The Oscar-winning star plays acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft in the psychological thriller, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Renée Knight.

What is Disclaimer about?

According to a release from the streaming giant, Disclaimer is a gripping psychological thriller about a journalist who builds her reputation “revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When Catherine Ravenscroft receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realise she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.”

The description continues, “As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband Robert and their son Nicholas.”

Who else is in the cast of Disclaimer?

In addition to Cate Blanchett, the series stars fellow Oscar-winner Kevin Kline, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sacha Baron Cohen. Lesley Manville, Louis Patridge, Leila George and Hoyeon.

It is directed by five-time Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón and the score is composed by GRAMMY-winning artist Finneas O’Connell.

 

When will Disclaimer be released?

The seven-episode limited series will be released on Friday, October 11, starting with two episodes, followed by a new episode every Friday until November 15.
