Watch: Teaser Trailer For New ‘Mr & Mrs. Smith’ Series

The teaser trailer for the new Mr & Mrs Smith series has dropped!

In this version, two lonely strangers portrayed by Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life – wealth, world travel and a dream home in Manhattan. But of course, there’s a catch…

According to Prime Video, they’re given “new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other.”

The highly-anticipated 8-episode series which reimagines the 2005 film with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, will be released on February 2, 2024.

In an interview with EW this year, Donald said the series will be very different to the film which centred on a married couple who later discover they’re both spies working for rival agencies.

“You can always go back and watch the old one, but this one gives you a different feeling. People are definitely going to be shocked.”

Maya hilariously added she was surprised to be taking on a role made famous by Angelina: “A lot of people would say that I’m just like Angelina Jolie and that we’re really similar. No, I’m kidding. I obviously couldn’t be further from her. I tend to play characters that feel like rejects of society, and my Jane felt like it was the reject version of Angelina Jolie. It wouldn’t ever be her. It could never be.”
