Zach Galifianakis Joins ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4

Well, this cast just keeps getting better and better – Zach Galifianakis is the latest star to join Only Murders in the Building, season 4!

Deadline has confirmed the Emmy-nominee will join series regulars (and, let’s face it, screen icons!) Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez. Meryl Streep will also reprise her role as Loretta Durkin plus we have some previously-announced new cast members too including Eva Longoria Baston, Eugene Levy, Kumail Nanjiani and Molly Shannon.

I mean, can it get any better than this?

Zach, who is best known for his role as Alan in The Hangover trilogy will have a recurring role but that’s about all we know so far. Like the other new cast members, his character and any plot details are being kept tightly under wraps.

This new role will mark Zach’s first major scripted series since his work on Baskets, which ended in 2019.

If you’re not already heavily invested in Only Murders in the Building, well, what are you waiting for dear reader? The series follows the story of three people living in the same building who bond over a love for true crime. They start their own podcast after finding themselves right in the middle of a murder mystery. Or several.

Season 3 ended with a sudden attack and with the victim, lying on the floor of a kitchen, appearing to write something with her own blood…  No spoilers! And yes, we can’t wait to find out what happens next!

The series, which also stars Tina Fey and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, hails from co-writers and co-creators Steve Martin and John Hoffman.
