Gather your girlfriends and get set to ugly cry tears of pure joy – a biographical documentary about Oprah Winfrey is coming to Apple TV+ …and we can’t wait!
According to Deadline who released the exclusive, the streaming platform has ordered a two-part documentary focusing on Oprah’s life, how she catapulted to fame and the 25 year history of her successful Oprah Winfrey Show.
We’re hoping this means some fun behind the scenes footage but also a look into the hard work that Ms O and her team put in every single day to deliver the most inspiring talk show in TV history. (According to who, you may be wondering? According to me. But seriously, can you think of a better talk show? I’ll wait.)
I mean, really…how did she pull off all those great giveaways? How did she get Lance Armstrong to open up about his cheating past? How did she hold it together when the entire audience was a blubbering mess?
The documentary, which will be co-produced by Lisa Erspamer, producer for the Oprah Winfrey Show between 1999 and 2009, is the latest project in Oprah’s multi-year deal she struck with Apple in 2018 – think Oprah’s Book Club and her Oprah Conversations.
There’s no confirmed streaming date just yet. But don’t worry, you know we won’t be missing this one!
