Get the cosmos ready – And Just Like That has been renewed for Season 3!
As we await the much-talked about Season 2 finale on August 24, Max (formerly HBO Max) has announced there will be more of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte hitting our screens – which is awesome news for fans who’ve been seriously questioning whether the second season might be the final.
In a short clip posted on the official social media page for the series, we see Carrie sitting at a table saying, “if it just feels right, and it does, then why slow it down?”

“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors,” executive producer Michael Patrick King shared in a release. “And Just Like That… Here comes season three.”

The Sex and the City spinoff, which stars original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, will also see Kim Cattrall reprise her role as Samantha Jones in the season 2 finale.
Earlier this year, the show shared an equally welcome casting surprise – that John Corbett would be returning as Carrie’s ex-fiancé, Aidan Shaw. In announcing the news, the series shared photos of Carrie and Aidan holding hands while power walking down a street in New York City together – both dressed very stylishly, of course.

The last time we saw either Samantha or Aidan’s characters on screen was way, way, way back when the Sex and the City 2 movie was released in 2010!
There’s no word yet on who will return for season 3 or when it will be released. With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and writers strikes, we may have to wait a little while…
