‘Black Mirror’ Officially Set to Return for 6th Season This June

Black Mirror is making a return to our screens after nearly four years!

The boundary-pushing sci-fi Netflix series premiered its fifth season in June 2019 and yesterday, fans went wild after the show’s official Twitter account posted a cryptic message: “What have we missed?”

Less than 24 hours later, it’s been confirmed there will be a sixth season which the streamer is calling “the most unpredictable, unclassifiable, and unexpected yet.” They also shared a teaser trailing featuring a space station in orbit, a creepy smiley face emoji and lots of violence!

The new season which is set to drop in June will star Aaron Paul, Salma Hayek Pinault, Michael Cera, Josh Hartnett, Paapa Essiedu, Kate Mara, Zazie Beetz and more.

Speaking to Netflix’s Tudum, creator Charlie Brooker says we’re in for lots of surprises:

“Partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both me and the viewer, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect. Consequently, this time, alongside some of the more familiar Black Mirror tropes, we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do…”
