There’s a new character joining the third season of hit mystery series Only Murders in the Building and she’ll be portrayed by one of the most iconic and accomplished actor’s of our time – Meryl Streep!
Star Selena Gomez announced the exciting news in a video posted to social media where she’s seen casually hanging out with fellow cast members Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Rudd and Andrea Martin.

“Hey guys, we’re on set. What are we shooting? Season 3. The gang is back together. Could this honestly get any better?”
“Well I do think it could get a little bit better,” Paul answers before queen Meryl pokes her head out from behind.
There’s no word yet on who she’ll be playing or how she’ll be involved with the deadliest fictional apartment block in New York City, but hell yes, we’re excited to find out!

In October last year it was announced that Grey’s Anatomy alum Jesse Williams would be joining the season 3 cast too.
If you’re not already heavily invested in this brilliant show, it follows the story of three people living in the same building, who bond over a love for true crime. They start their own podcast after finding themselves right in the middle of a murder mystery.
