New ‘Wednesday’ Trailer Reveals Fred Armisen is Uncle Fester

We now know who’s playing Uncle Fester in Wednesday, the highly anticipated Addams Family spin-off on Netflix.

In a trailer released by the streaming service today, it’s been revealed Fred Armisen will take on the role of the iconic, bald uncle. During the clip, we see Uncle Fester surprise his niece, Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega), in the woods as they set off to figure out the mysteries of her new school, Nevermore Academy.

“Come on let’s roll!” he says as they take off in a Dalmatian-print motorcycle with a side-car attachment.

“What other surprises are in store?” Wednesday says in a voiceover. “Nevermore continues to be a place where the questions far outweigh the answers. I won’t stop until I find the truth. I know the suspense is killing you.”

The film also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia and Luis Guzman as Gomez with original Wednesday actor Christina Ricci as a Nevermore Academy faculty member, Ms. Thornhill.

Netflix previously shared that the eight-episode series will be a live-action, coming-of-age, comedic take on the life of the Addams Family’s goth daughter, directed by Tim Burton. It’s out November 23.
