Netflix has announced hit series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega has been renewed for a second torturous season!
It’s no surprise really, given the first season set a record for the streaming platform as the most watched English language series in its first week of release – a combined 341 million hours!
“More torture is coming. Lucky you,” the official Wednesday Addams page posted on Twitter along with a short clip featuring the popular character. In it, we see visuals of the first season, set to the tune of Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” of course, with a voice over from Wednesday herself:

“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been hunted, haunted, and mimicked millions of times across the internet. It’s been pure torture. Thank you.”
Speaking about the renewal in an interview with Tudum, show creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said, “it’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world… We can’t wait to dive head first into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”
No casting or plot details have been released just yet.
