Oprah Winfrey has been spending her day surprising people in Texas with a phone call – and a reminder to vote!
The media queen and philanthropist has posted a video of herself on Instagram contacting one voter named Christian, and it’s quite the conversation…
“Hi, Christian? This is Oprah Winfrey. It really is Oprah Winfrey,” she says before confirming who she is a third time, much to Christian’s delight.
“Holy moly,” he says laughing.
Oprah explains that she’s volunteering with politician Beto O’Rourke’s “Powered x People” campaign which is committed to calling one million Texans to get out and vote.
“As you may know, early voting begins tomorrooooow!” Oprah says in her signature Oprah-style.
And as it turns out, Christian already has a plan in place, scoring a thumbs up from Ms O.
“I don’t know what to say about that, that’s fantastic!” she says before describing him as a “model citizen.”
The campaign, which also involved calls from a host of other famous names including musician Willie Nelson, ended up reaching over 2.9 million voters in 24 hours.
