Women in England and Wales who’ve experienced sexual harassment can now access a free legal advice line, thanks to Emma Watson.
The actress donated U.S$1.2 million to help set up the line last year which has now been officially launched.
“It finally feels like people are realising the scale of the problem,” the actress said in a statement.
And she couldn’t be more right. 1 in 2 women experience sexual harassment at work according to the Trade Unions Congress.
“This advice line is such a huge development in ensuring all women are supported, wherever we work,” Emma said.
Services will include instructions on how to make official claims and advice on what constitutes sexual harassment.
Since finishing up her Harry Potter-ing, the actress has been busy raising awareness about equality and feminism, being a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and getting involved in various Time’s Up campaigns.
