He doesn’t have skin cancer.
The Greatest Showman actor shared the update with his fans on social media, after undergoing two biopsies this week. His doctors were concerned he may have basal cell carcinoma but Hugh says the tests have all come back “NEGATIVE!!!”
“Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it!” he writes on his Instagram stories. “And to the media for getting this very important message out. PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR SUNSCREEN WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SPF (NO MATTER THE SEASON). Love, HJ.”
The news comes just a day after the beloved actor posted a video of himself on social media with a bandage on his nose.

“Please wear sunscreen. No matter how much you want a tan, trust me, trust me, trust me, please wear sunscreen. It’s just not worth it” he says in the clip.
According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer and most can be treated when caught early.
