You’ve seen the character posters and now the trailer for Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated Barbie movie is here too!
The first full trailer for the film offers a sneak peak at the plastic fantastic world Gerwig has created along with co-writer Noah Baumbach. The clip opens with Margot Robbie as Barbie stepping out onto a beach – surrounded by lots of pink, of course! – and saying hi to Ken who’s portrayed by Ryan Gosling.
We’re then introduced to a number of Barbies who also say hi to each other, as well as another Ken portrayed by Simu Liu, who seems to have some beef with Ryan’s Ken.
Barbie and Ken appear to be leaving their perfect Barbie Land to head into the real world, and yes, they brought their roller blades with them. As for any further hints about the plot? We’ll have to wait until July 20 in Australia (and July 21 globally) to see for ourselves!
