Yep. Everyone’s head is exploding right about now.
Ryan Reynolds has oh-so-casually (and hilariously) dropped the major news that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3, after Hugh technically hung up his claws post 2017’s Logan.
“Hard keeping my mouth sewn shut about this one,” Ryan captioned a video on social media.
In the clip, he jokes about trying to figure out how to deliver another smash instalment of the hit franchise but has come up with… nothing much. That’s when Hugh walks through the background.
“Yeah, sure, Ryan,” Hugh adds oh-so-casually himself.
The video also confirms the film’s official release date which will be September 6, 2024!

And if like me, you thought the two BFFs were maybe pulling some kind of hilarious-for-them, not-so-hilarious-for-us kind of prank, you can relax. Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy also confirmed the news on Twitter:
“I want to take a minute to thank #StrangerThings for training me to keep my big mouth shut. This news has been burning a hole in my lips for weeks now.”
