In a post on Instagram, Colleen Hoover describes Jenny as “one of the most talented humans.”
“I can’t even believe she’ll be in this movie. I’m so hungry right now because I’ve been really freaking busy today so I can’t tell if I need to eat or if this is nausea from too much excitement. Gonna go eat a taco but I bet I’ll feel the same way after that.”
Last month it was revealed 1923 star Brandon Sklenar would be joining the cast as Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s school friend and first love.
Justin Baldoni is serving as director with Blake Lively executive producing alongside Colleen and the screenplay is by Christy Hall as confirmed by Deadline.
The team recently put a call out to the public to find a “young Lily” – no word on who’s been cast in that role just yet…
And if you haven’t read the book yet… Well, this is your sign to jump on board. The book falls under the contemporary romance category and follows the life of young entrepreneur Lily Bloom who falls for neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, just as her high school love Atlas Corrigan reappears. It is a powerful exploration of the themes of domestic violence, masculinity, jealousy, heartache and more.
