Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah and the gang from Cousins Beach will be heading back to our screens for a third season!
Prime Video has today announced it has green-lit The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, the hit series starring Lola Tung, Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno:
And it’s no surprise really…
The multi-generational drama has captivated audiences around the world exploring first love, heartbreak, female friendships and mother-child bonds. According to Prime Video, Season 2 is one of the 10 most watched seasons of any series ever on the platform!
“So excited to finally share that we’re coming back to Cousins for Season 3,” author and showrunner Jenny Han, shared on Instagram, along with a photo of a smiling Lola Tung.

“It’s been hard not being able to work on the show because of the ongoing strikes, but we can’t wait to get going on Season 3 as soon as we’re able.”
Season 3 was officially given the go-ahead before the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. However production won’t begin until after negotiations with the unions are resolved.
“We’ve been delighted to see the passion with which fans have embraced The Summer I Turned Pretty, making Summer Fridays an entertainment phenomenon,” Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon and MGM Studios says. “Jenny Han is a gifted storyteller, whose fans have been clamouring for the third chapter of this story.”
The second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently streaming on Prime Video with new episodes released weekly until the season finale on Friday, August 18, 2023.
